As part of the ongoing Maseko Ngoni Mhlangano Cultural Festival, Queen of the Maseko Ngoni, Inkosikazikulu Khanyisa Rishaladza Gomani V, has led a donation of essential items to 200 patients at Ntcheu District Hospital, on Wednesday.
The donation included maize flour, diapers and other basic necessities, with support from mobile network operator TNM, Pastor Ruth Kawinga, wife of Apostle Clifford Kawinga, and Seed Co Company Limited.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Inkosikazikulu Rishaladza said the initiative was aimed at supporting patients and improving their welfare and wellbeing.
"Ntcheu District Hospital needs our support in addressing some of its challenges, particularly the need for improved accommodation facilities for patients and other hospital users," Khanyisa said.
Meanwhile TNM's representative, Dalitso Nkunika said the company considered it important to support children born at the hospital, describing them as future leaders who deserve a good start in life.

Receiving the donation, Ntcheu District Hospital Director, Dr Innocent Mhango, expressed gratitude to the donors, saying the assistance had come at the right time as the hospital was experiencing shortages of some of the donated supplies.
TNM donated more than K8 million on the donated items, while Pastor Ruth Kawinga contributed approximately K5 million towards the initiative. Seed Co Company Limited also donated assorted items.

The donation forms part of activities marking this year’s Maseko Ngoni Mhlangano Cultural Festival in Ntcheu District.
