Ntcheu Police has reaffirmed its commitment to continue providing security as the Maseko Ngoni uMhlangano Cultural Festival is underway at Nkolimbo in Ntcheu District.

Ntcheu Police spokesperson Inspector Jacob Khembo, said that the police have deployed additional traffic officers at various points to ensure that road users follow traffic regulations and maintain safety during the festival.

Khembo has also urged people travelling to the cultural event to ensure that a responsible adult remains at their homes to quickly report any suspicious activities or incidents that may occur in their absence.

He further warned individuals planning to cause disturbances during the festival that the law will take its course if they are caught engaging in any acts of misconduct.

Police have therefore appealed to all people attending the uMhlangano Festival to behave responsibly and cooperate with security officers to ensure that the event takes place peacefully.
