Silver Strikers Football Club has terminated the appointment of Head Coach Peter Mgangira with immediate effect following a review of the team’s recent results and overall performance.

In a notice issued by the club’s management, Silver Strikers says the decision was made in the best interests of the club after a series of disappointing results that fell below the standards and expectations of the Central Bankers.

The club has thanked Mgangira for his service, commitment and contribution during his tenure and wished him success in his future endeavours.

The development comes shortly after Silver Strikers suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat to FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in the league on September 5.

Mgangira had previously guided Silver Strikers to success, including the 2025 FDH Bank Cup, during his time as head coach.

Silver Strikers are yet to announce who will take over the team following Mgangira’s departure.
